A classic debut by poet Deepak Sharma, Jeevan ka Tana Bana is a collection of poetry which will strike a chord with anyone who reads it. The simple words beaded into strings of beautiful poems captures the thoughts of the author in a wonderful way.

As the title suggests, the book is a collection of poems ranging from day to day issues of love, life, society, education, relationship and the world in general. The author has beautifully expressed thoughts and emotions which all of us undergo at some point of our life. Some poems like Zindagi Chal Rahi Hai" and "Sapno mein Yamraj" captures the travesties of life in a satirical manner. Simple but candid way of writing style hits home. Few of my favorite lines which very well expresses the feelings nowadays are

 "Som se lekar shanivar tak

            Gadha majdoori chal rhi hai

            Choti choti ichhaye bhi 

            Ravivar pe tal rhi hai

            Aur zindagi chal rhi hai"

Translation: Monday to Friday, we are working our asses off, small wishes are suspended on Sundays and life is going on.

The poet has expressed deep emotions in such a simplistic manner. His forthright writing sans any ornamentation adds impact to most of his pieces. The shackles of our emotions, carnal desires, loneliness and search for company are few of the topics addressed by the poet. His deep rooted patriotism is evident in few of his poems which touches key social and political issues at hand.

Poetry is always the manifestation of the poets beliefs and Deepak Sharma, in his debut poetry collection captures his feelings in a fascinating manner. Definitely a must read for all.
